An integrated, interdisciplinary thematic unit on voting and the election process. Elections impact society on a school, city, state, national, and international level. Students think of elections as a simple process. There are several factors that affect all elections: physical appearance, money, propaganda, political affiliation, health, personal background, and current events. Students will participate in decision making and analyze its implications. This unit will also look into life after political office, impact of elections on community and country, and how a candidate's family is affected by winning an election.
