It's A Small World After All. We're All in this Alone...Together or Now How Do You Say, "Where's The Bathroom????"
An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on Cultures. Culture is the group of behaviors and beliefs of a group of people that makes them unique in the world. Society is a group of people who share a culture and live in a central place. This unit will help students to realize that in a world, that is becoming smaller, we need to understand this in order to communicate with each other and solve problems related to our differences, and ensure our survival. The first step in this process is to discover the components of a culture and examine the qualities that make one group of people unique from another. Students will be challenged to identify these basic components as well as to develop a better understanding of how resources, choices and geography influenced ancient cultures and societies and how they continue to influence us today.
