It's Greek to Me!

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic unit on ancient Greek mythology and its influences on ancient and modern life. This is a cultural unit based on the literature, belief system, and daily life of ancient Greeks. Greeks have shown us a great deal of history through the stories passed down that we know as myths. We get many of our master plots today from Greek myths, and with no one author, an entire culture can receive credit for giving us story-telling and a literature base that survives today.
Essential concepts are human nature as it embraces greed, beauty, innovation, self-concept, the power of music , sport, and good ole fatherly advice.
