It is also meaningful because it emphasizes the importance of conservation of Florida's ecosystems. The geography of Florida, including its waterways, has had an economical impact on its industry and tourism. To be responsible citizens in the state in which they reside, students need an understanding and appreciation of Florida's history, ecology, and geography.
