A Medieval Thematic Unit Between 500 and 1500 A.D., many advancements in technology, the arts, literature, and social interaction among people moved civilization from the Dark Ages to the age of Enlightenment. This interdisciplinary unit connects language arts, science, social studies, fine arts, math, and physical education by highlighting such themes as the development of the Magna Carta, Shakespeare's influence, social sturctures, and the invention of the printing press. It also encompasses many other aspects from this period in time and aligns with the state standards in content areas. Our students need to make the connections between the events in history and the modern lives. this unit accomplishes that goal.
