Journey to the Land of Oz or Didgeridoo, Wallaroo, Uluru, What Are You?

An integrated, interdisciplinary, intermediate unit exploring the culture, people and environment of Australia This unit exposes students to the geography and cultures of Australia, while encouraging them to make comparisons to related aspets of their home country, the United States. In order to gain a better understanding of the rich Diversity of this unique island continent, students will explore the geography, history, environment, wildlife, indigenous and modern peoples, and contemporary life of the "Land Down Under".
