An integrated, interdisciplinary thematic unit on "Exploring Florida's Waters and its Imapact on Life." Florida's water environments (fresh and marine) are both rich and fragigle. Without this rich environment, life in Florida would be non-existent for many organisms, including man. This interdisciplinary thematic unit is designed to allow students to explore Florida's waters, from surface water to river systems, from groundwater to the oceans and its shores. Students will have a better understanding of Florida's fragile environment - the organisms found there and its aquatic resources- and come away with a commitment to do what they can to protect it.
