Marching Through the 60's or Do You Know Your Rights From Your Lefts? Tune in, Turn on, but DON'T drop out of this interdisciplinary, thematic unit on the Burning Issues of the 1960's.

Students will explore "The 60's" through an in depth study of the human rights/civil rights movement. This interdisciplinary/integrated thematic unit will consider the issure of minorities, particularly blacks and women of the 60's. Studentss will recognize an identify the contributions of groups and individuals and how their political stances made a difference for their people then and now.
