An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study on Ethics and Etiquette for the Middle School Student This unit is important to develop positive, contributing, responsible members of society. Students develop a strong sense of self, place, joy, belonging, independence and balance. Students presented with ethical dilemmas develop a plan of ethical strategies using problem-solving skills as a basis for decision making. Students apply these decisions to personal, family, community, national, and/or global situations. Students presented with ethical dilemmas determine a rational response based on personal and societal standards.
