Monarchy to Democracy or "You say you want a revolution?"

  • $5.50

An interdisciplinary unit on the study of the movement from monarchy to democracy in America and France. The students will explain how nations have moved from monarchy to democracy through revolution. They will examine causes of revolution, particularly in the American and French Revolutions, comparing and contrasting the two. The French and Americans risked their lives to transform their existence's from a monarchy to a democracy via revolution. Both France and America paid heavily for their people's dreams of democracy. The two countries today are independent, economically sound, and most of all, enjoy the liberties their forefathers fought to attain.
