In today's world of dwindling natural resources, a growing number of people, and an increase in pollution, it has become critical of all of us-including very young children to gain an understanding of ways in which we can become responsible custodians of our environment. This interdisciplinary unit was developed to introduce primary-aged children to 1) the importance of environmental awareness; 2) the definition of the terms "ecology" "environments" and "pollution" 3) the ways in which we can improve our environment and 4) the need for a healthy environment.
