My Culture is Better Than Your Culture or.... Make The World Safe For Diversity

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary Thematic Unit examine intolerance and its historical, political, economic, cultural, moral, ethial, and social ramifications. Throughout history, intolerance has led to personal and cultural conflict and suffering. This unit is designed to help students recognize and understand the problems created by intolerance. Students will develop strategies to promote the empathy, sensitivity, and understanding necessary to become successful and productive citizens in a multicultural world.
