An Integrated Interdisciplinary thematic unit on Native Americans of California This unit will allow fourth grade students to use an integrated, thematic approach to study Native American tribes of California. This unit studies the Yuroks, Hupas, Chumash, Maidus, Miwoks, Yokuts and Mojave tribes. Students will learn how the tribes depend on, adapted to and modified the physical environment.
