Through the use of brainstorming, research, analyzing, and hands-on experiences in such areas as the economics involved, emotional and physical stresses, as well as survival skills, students will understand possible interventions and preventions dealing with man-made and natural disasters. Students will comprehend that most natural disasters cannot be prevented, but society can defend itself through proper action and planning.
