An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on Arizona School District State Standards This unit will teach the many aspects of the ocean. They will discover the important role the ocean plays in their life. They will research medicines harvested from the ocean. They will examine the waves and the role the moon plays in creating them. They will explore the strength of the ocean and the havoc the ocean can play on the human race through devastating storms. They will also explore the zones of the ocean and the animal life that inhabit the ocean.
