One for all, All for one... or... Don't Fence Me Out
An interdisciplinary/ integrated thematic unit on building community lifeskills for grades 3 and 4. This unit is important in order to establish at the beginning of the year fthe classroom climate, behavioral expectations, and learning community that is desired for the entire year. Students will have multiple opportunities to work together as partners or in small groups so that they get to know each other and can develop a sense of belonging/ ownership. Students will also gain a greater awareness of themselves as individuals within this learning community.
