An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic 5th Grade Unit on The American Civil War. This unit was developed to introduce fifth grade students to: 1) the causes of the Civil War, 2) the character of American Society during the Civil War, 3) the economic impact of the war, and 4) the key events and personalities of the Civil War.
