An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on the Study of MEXICO In our fast pace global economy, it is vital for foreign language students to excel not only with communication in the target language, but to also have the knowledge, understanding, and insight into the culture of the target language. Elementary, middle, and high school students will learn about the Mexican culture that surrounds the language and be able to compare and contrast the Diversity of people in other cultures. This will, in turn, help the students better understand themselves. Our unit is also important because it meets Wisconsin's model for academic standards for foreign languages.
