An integrated, interdisciplinary, thematic study of the rainforest for the intermediate grades. The rain forest is an integral part of the world's ecosystem. It is thought to control everything from polar ice caps to global warming trends. This unit will explore the rain forest and how it effects our lives. This unit is important because knowledge of the rain forest will help students become globally minded, responsible citizens.
