Re(dis)covering Ancient Egypt

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary Thematic 6th Grade Unit Exploring the Influence of Ancient Egypt on Modern Civilization This unit employs an integrated thematic approach for sixth grade students studying civilizations of the ancient world, with a focus on Egypt. The ancient Egyptians created one of the earliest and longest lasting civilizations in the world. This unique civilization is interesting to study because so many reminders of it remain. This unit studies many different aspects of Egyptian life, culture, and religion, with a focus on how they connect to the modern world.
