Running Out of Time

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary Study of Running Out of Time by Margaret Peterson Haddix. The students in our classes do not get many opportunities to experience life outside their immediate community. Through literature and the use of the Internet, we, as teachers, need to bring these opportunities to them in the classroom. These different experiences may include but are not limited to: ethnically different communities, economically different communities, communities of choice versus control, communities of the "olden days" or present time, etc.
