An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study on the 50 States for Grades K-5 Fairmont Elementary has a Schoolwide Title I Plan for the 1999-2000 school year. Part of the Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Plan is to have students in K-4 learning all of the fifty states by fifth grade. The fifth grade teacher will concentrate on the regions of the U.S. Each grade level has a specific group of states, capitals, important facts and relationships to learn during the year.
