Shake and Bake Tour
Plate tectonics accounts for important features of Earth's surface and major geologic events. Large-scale geologic events have affected civilization for all of recorded history: where people live, how people survive, when and why people change, what resources are available. The weathering of rock and soil and reshapes topography by transportation and deposition of sediment. A study of these geologic processes will lead students to the fundamental understanding of not only how the earth is constructed and continues to change over time, but also how these processes have lead to civilization as we know it today.
