This unit is important because it gives students the vital information and skills needed to achieve the general objective of this class to manage one's resources in order to achieve our personal goals. The specific resource we will be managing in this unit is money. We will understand how money is made and transported between government, producers, and consumers. They will learn how the system works and how to make it work for them. They will discover the tools and technology that will help them manage and invest their money wisely. They will organize their money in a monthly budget. They will evaluate their needs from their wants and prioritize the role and value money will play in their life compared to their values such as education and family, and universal values like honesty and integrity.
