Some Like It Hot!

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit for Third Grade on the Environment and History of the Southwestern Region of the United States and Their Impact on Present Day Life. North America is a land of varied geographical regions, each containing different plants, animals, and natural resources. Unique factors within each region determine its history, development, habitats (human and animal), customs, recreation, etc. This unit of study will focus on the Southwestern region of the United States and will provide students with the information they need to understand and appreciate their connectedness to their environment and make predictions about its future.
