Sound! Catch the Wave! Or If A Tree Falls in the Forest, and No One is There to Hear It, Wood It Make a Sound?

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on Sound SOUND is a vital part of experiencing, processing, and understanding the world around us. It can range from the communication of humans and animals, the routine messages of our lives and jobs, to the pleasurable sounds of nature and music. Students will gain an awareness of SOUNDS, their purpose, how they are produced, travel, and affect their lives in order to enhance their communication and to more fully evaluate and adapt to our environment.
