Stanislavski's "Magic If" Or: Really! Stop Acting!!!

An integrated, interdisciplinary thematic unit on character development. Antone Chekhov introduced the "Leave Life as it is" technique of acting and playwriting. Konstantine Stanislovski expounded on this technique with Vladmir Nemirovich in 1897. This method of acting is still widely used today. Students will learn all of the components that make up this method including: truth, physical action, elements of action, super objectives, physical apparatus, character and behavior.
