An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study of the Holocaust In this unit students will be challenged to determine the social and economic forces that helped lead to the Holocaust. Students will also examine their responsibilities as citizens of their own country, as well as their responsibilities as global citizens. Students will also be challenged to think critically about how one particular social group could be targeted and victimized using prejudice and propaganda to breed hatred. They will also examine how ordinary citizens can become complacent partners in an atrocity like genocide.
