Strangers in a Strange Land or How to Win Lands and Subjugate People

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on the Causes, Processes, and Effects of Colonization of North America The students will learn about the colonization of North America. They will understand how Europeans related to the New World, the processes by which they arrived and survived, and the effects on the culture and lives of the indigenous peoples. This unit will analyze the effects of diverse cultures on the evolution of modern society.
