Across the continental U.S. there has been a need for communication to travel at a faster rate. Technology improved as the years progressed with different ways to transmit information more cost effectively and with greated efficiency. Students will examine and analyze how the different machines/modes of communication have impacted the daily life of Americans from 1833 to 1996
