An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study of Character Education Across the Curriculum Students today often lack a general understanding of the meaning of character and its significance to hman self and communal relationships. The students will describe different definitions of character. Then they will analyze the impact of character development on personal growth and social relationships. Finally the students will develop their own foundation for a philosophy of ethics of character. At Risk students have a strong need to learn a variety of social and educational skills. Students will learn about the values necessary for cooperative group relations including: responsibility, integrity, compassion, cooperation, honesty, tolerance, and honesty.
