The Deans"...Jimmy to James...or A Sausage Without A Cause.
An integrated, intradisciplinary unit for alternative secondary students on social changes in the 50's and 60's. Recent research has shown that a strong indicator of success is the ability to set goals. This unit teaches goal setting through an intensive, multi-age study of careers, for second through eighth grades.
Students will learn what a "career" is. Today's students need to think about what their interests are and how they can lead to a career that will benefit them financially and provide satisfaction and self worth.
What a career is:

2. One's advancement or achievement in a particular vocation
3. One's life work, profession, or occupation
