An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study of Immigration to the United States (1890-1920) The United States is the most culturally diverse nation on earth. How our country became so diverse is the story of our people. It is also the key to understanding some of our fundamental cultural differences that cause so much confusion and misunderstanding in our world today. Students will examine Immigration to the U.S. in the 1890s - 1920s, when Ellis Island was at its peak.
