The Reason for the Season!

An integrated, interdisciplinary K-1 Unit This integrated interdisciplinary literature-based unit for the classroom and library addresses both the topic of seasons and the development of language arts. Seasons is a theme unit that can be presented throughout the year in kindergarten and first grade. Students will listen, learn, discuss, and apply the unique characteristics of each season such as human activities, plant and animal life, and weather. Students will develop language art skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing, literary appreciation) by listening and responding to a variety of literary forms that relate to the months and seasons of the year.
