The Times They Are A-Changin' - 1950's & 1960's

An integrated, interdisciplinary study of the 1950's and 1960's: An exploration in the contrasts for secondary students. The study of the history of any time period will enrich a student's understanding of the present and prepare them to make predictions about the future. Much of what we hold dear today materially, socially, and spiritually stems from the decades of the 50's and 60's. The concept that change is the strongest constant in the history can also be clearly illustrated through an interdisciplinary study of America during these decades in which we can observe the pendulum of history swing form conservative to revolutionary and from materialism to idealism. Our goal is to understand what the changes were and what effects these changes have had on contemporary America.
