The Times They are a Changing or It's Hip to be Aware!

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on life, explorations, life, and changes that affected affected American Life then and in future decades. The sixties was an age of youth, when 70 million children from the baby boom became teenagers and adults. During this decade, a movement began that focused on getting away from the conservative views of the fifties. Young people wanted change. Change affected education, laws, lifestyles, attitudes, and human rights. Society began to question who had the authority and why? Revolutionary thinking that began in the sixties began real change then and has continued to evolve today.
