The Tribes, They Are A Changin' or Iroquois Today...Gone Tomorrow

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary Thematic Unit On The Complexity and Sophistication of Early Native American Culture America was the site of developed civilizations long before the Europeans arrived. This unit is designed to show students the complexity and sophistication of Native American societies. Native Americans were not all "backwards" as stereotyped, but resourceful thriving people. Their accomplishments have not been appreciated. Students will gain knowledge of Native American culture by investigating the habits, skills and lifestyles of selected tribes.
