An interdisciplinary/ integrated thematic study of the Native American Experience. Children's knowledge of Native American cultures too often comes from stereotypes in books and from the media. they frequently view Native Americans as peole of the past. When exposed to the richness of the living cultures of today, they will extend their knowledge and understanding of Indian people. The student's own reverence for the earth will be enhanced as they experience the Native American's harmony with nature.
