An Integrated/Interdisciplinary Thematic: The Study of the Solar System Our Solar System is like a family with the Sun being the parent. The planets are like children orbiting around the Sun. The planets and the Sun make up a family. Students will gain awareness of the relationship between the Sun and the other planets and the characteristics of each planet. This unit will provide students with the understanding of our solar system and how it affects our daily life.
