An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on social studies skills and methods. This unit was developed to help middle school students develop skills and methods applicable to social studies classes in grades 6 through 8 according to Ohio State Academic Standards. Among these skills are obtaining information, thinking and organizing, communicating information, and problem solving. These study skills will allow students to work independently and collaborate with others in a respectful, honest, and tolerant manner.
