An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on Nutrition for Grade Three Food is an important part of our everyday life. In many respects, our health depends on our nutrition. It is essential for children to realize the importance of correct nutrition. This unit will teach the students to create a balanced meal. The children will learn about the major food groups and the food pyramid.
