Turn Around! Democracy's Only One Revolution Away! Or...How do you fit the Bill? From the White House to Your House

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary unit for 5th grade students on Citizenship Social and civic responsibility are the core of our country's democratic principles. The fourteenth amendment defined citizenship in the United States. No state can deny its citizens the right of life, liberty, and property without due process of law. This unit will provide students with an understanding of our constitution, why it was written, its amendments, and about the rights and the responsibilities of being an American citizen.
