Up and "Atom" Super Friends! OR Time to Build a Community!

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on Building and Maintaining Community In September, students will share in the responsibility for community-building in the classroom. They will link a parallel study of an insect community (ants). They will also summarize and draw conclusions from related literature, music and video. This initial theme will set the tone for the school year and will promote positive, contributing behaviors among classmates.
