An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit for Grades 7 & 8 on Immigration and Cultural Diversity in America This unit was developed to provide middle school students an opportunity to study different cultures. The students will explore the Diversity of cultures and reasons for Immigration to America. Students will develop an understanding of Diversity and the U. S. as a ""melting pot and salad bowl"" and appreciate and understand tolerance.
