Westward Ho! Exploration of American Culture.

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic 8th Grade Unit on the Examination of the American Culture During the Westward Expansion of the Early 19th Century. This unit was designed to acquaint 8th grade students with the concept of ethnocentrism and the effect it has had on the development of the country and its culture, and how it influences the decision making process regarding policies, values, and social behavior.
