What the World Needs Now are Green Eggs and Ham or See through the eyes of a child

An integrated, interdisciplinary thematic unit on prejudice and discrimination for tenth grade. The world is becoming smaller. As it does, an appreciation for Diversity becomes more important. Prejudice and its effect are our main deterents in the quest for mutual understanding. Striving for success of all individuals can only increase the community's success. Students will be guided to explore the causes and results of prejudice. Students will be able to identify the negatives of intolerance, to identify the feelings generated by prejudice and stereotyping, and to develop the skills to deal with prejudice and stereotyping.
