An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic High School Unit on the Cold Way 1945 - 1963. Life changed forever with the explosion of the first atomic bomb in 1945. The atomic age that was ushered in was full of fear, change, and inventiveness for the US and the world. From technology to transportation, from communications to entertainment, there would be no going back to the way we were, but the future (our present) began to take shape. Much of who we are today is a direct result of the cold war and society from 1945 - 1963.
