Where in the "Peach Fuzz" is the Midlands of South Carolina?

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study of the South Carolina Midlands Our social studies curriculum in third grade is a comprehensive study of South Carolina. The culture, geography, and history of the Midlands region of South Carolina influence our students. Students will be able to recognize the geography and resources of this area, as well as the customs and traditions that make the Midlands of South Carolina unique. Students will come away from this unit with a greater knowledge of how they fit in the history of this wonderful place by preserving the heritage and traditions.
