Who's On First?! What's On Second?! & U. S. Is On Third . . Or The Laurels and Hardships of Daily Life in the American Colonies
An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit Exploring Daily Life in the Three Main Regions of Colonial America Students will learn how the geography and resources of each region (northern, middle, and southern) of the North American East Coast shaped the economic development of the colonies between the mid-1600s and the mid-1700s. Students will understand how the diverse cultural, religious, and political beliefs and practices of the inhabitants (including Native Americans and African slaves) led to the unique development of political and government systems that formed the basis for a new nation.
