An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on America's battles to advance science in World War II. War impacts many aspects of society and results in many changes for cultures involved in conflict. This integrated, interdisciplinary unit on history/geography, literature, and medical science of World War II is designed to give students a basic understanding of the cultural impact of the Second World War with a focus on the science of fighting.

The war was presented to the American and the countries of the Allied forces as a war against genocide, racism, and tyranny. As well as examining the effects of science, students will also explore the themes of prejudice, fear and hypocrisy through literature.
